Images of Bear Lake area in Rocky Mountain National Park. The trail around Bear Lake is asphalted and is handicap accessible. There are several trails that branch off the Bear Lake area. You can access Glacier Gorge and Alberta Falls from the Bear Lake area. You can also access Nymph, Dream and Emerald which are all nearby but have some altitude gain. You can also begin at Bear Lake and hike to Bierstadt Lake. Or, take the upper cut-off over to the Flat Top - Hallett Peak trails. Proceed on the trail to reach Helene, Odessa and Fern Lakes. Great hiking and picnic areas make for a great day in the outdoors. Winter snow-shoeing on marked trails too. Mountain scenics and wildlife too.
