Lake Haiyaha can be reached from the Dream Lake trail area of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is an uphill hike from Dream to Lake Haiyaha. The lake itself can oftentimes be fairly windy and with rough waters. Occasionally, you will find the waters tranquil and somewhat reflective. Once you have finished at Lake Haiyaha, you can either return to the Dream Lake area for return to the Bear Lake parking lot, or you can hike down the unmaintained trail to access Glacier Gorge trail - Mills Lake trails (Gem, Black, Blue, etc) - or Lochvale (The Loch), Skypond and Andrews Glacier trails. This unmaintained trail is still a nice hike with pretty scenery. A small pond sits off the trail and provides some reflection and mountain peak views. These photos are from the rocky frontage overflow area of Haiyaha - and of Lake Haiyaha and the pond off the unmaintained trail.
