Maroon Bells is most highly noted for its distinct mountain peaks. It is located in the Aspen, CO area and is probably one of the most photographed areas for its scenic beauty. Maroon Lake provides great reflection images early in the morning and oftentimes later in the day too. The wildflowers, early snowfall and autumn colors complement these majestic mountain peaks. There is a little nature hike at the far end of the lake for those not wishing to hike too far, while there is the scenic Crater Lake trail that provides a longer hike, with the Bells peaking thru the aspens along the way. Along the way, there are ponds, streams and perhaps some wildlife to spot too. Enjoy lunch and great views at Crater Lake.
