Trail Ridge Road is a high elevation highway that you can access through Rocky Mountain National Park. Or, you can drive the back way on the Fall River road, accessible from within the park near the Lawn Lake flood area. There are many overlooks and trail areas to get out and view the magnificent Colorado scenery. If you want a longer drive, you can take the Trail Ridge highway on over to the Grand Lake side.
